Love God Greatly: Broken & Redeemed

DAY 22 OF 40

SOAP – Galatians 1:14
Paul demonstrates how it is possible to be one of the most qualified and well-educated religious leaders and yet be in direct opposition to God. He was so proud of his Jewish heritage that he began persecuting Christians to show his devotion to the Mosaic law. Jesus meets him on the road to Damascus and confronts Paul with his sin, transforming his heart and mind.

What stance or belief might you be clinging to that is in opposition to God’s Word? It is possible to know the Bible, but not obey the Bible. It is also possible to follow Jesus, but not submit your life to Jesus. We must be careful that our attitude, speech, and behavior reflects Jesus that we see in the Bible, not our own perception of Jesus. This requires that we study the Bible, but more importantly, that we humbly submit to God’s transformation of us through His Word each day.

Father God, I thank You for revealing Yourself in Your Word. Give me a hunger and a thirst to know You more through Your Word and to humbly obey Your commands. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

About this Plan

Love God Greatly: Broken & Redeemed

In this six-week Love God Greatly study, you're invited to see the goodness of God as He remembers Sarah throughout her years of infertility. Come see Him care for Naomi as she deals with loss and loneliness. Behold our great God who gave Moses courage, Paul's true zeal, and the adulterous woman's forgiveness and the change of a new life. All of the people we will study--and us included--have hearts and souls that need rescuing. Ultimately we will find that the answer to all of our brokenness--no matter who we are or what we've done--is Christ himself.
