Where Was God During My Trials?নমুনা
Day Three | The Concept of ACEs
Today, let's discuss one factor that can have a significant impact on our lives. It’s known as Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs). Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) are the traumatic events that occur in one’s life before the age of 18. Although there are many people who experience adversity during different seasons of life, including adulthood, the fact is that abuse, neglect, or facing severe challenges from childhood can have long-term effects on our mental and physical health, relationships, and overall well-being.
In Psalm 34:18, the Bible says, "The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit." This verse reminds us that God is with us during our struggles and that we can turn to Him for comfort and strength. James 1:2-4 explains that trials and challenges can help us develop perseverance and strengthen our faith, leading to a more mature and complete relationship with God.
It's important to remember, we don't have to suffer in silence because we are not alone in our suffering. God goes before us to prepare our path (Deuteronomy 31:8) and He offers us His support and guidance as we heal from and overcome various challenges. This allows us to use our life experiences to grow and lead others to Jesus, so they can heal and grow as well.
It's important to lean into God because, as Christians, we should not be going to the world to solve our problems. We should run toward God. We should run into the arms of our Father so that He can guide, equip, and see us through.
Prayer:
Father, God, thank you for giving clarity and supernatural insight as we navigate through the seasons of our lives. Sometimes we feel alone or misunderstood. In truth, you are with us every step of the way. I pray that the hearts and minds of your children are open hearts to receive the words that you have released through this devotional. I know that you have a plan and purpose for me. Help me seek to understand things from your perspective. You deserve all the glory and honor in Jesus’ name. Amen.
