A Proverbs 31 Woman Laughsনমুনা
Strength and honor are her clothing; and she shall rejoice in time to come. Proverbs 31:25 (KJV)
How can we make strength and honor our clothing so we can laugh at the days to come? By Putting on Christ. Today, we will explore putting on Christ by accepting His Lordship—living a life surrendered to Christ with a burning desire to see His will established in our sphere of influence.
Romans 13:13-14 (KJV) says, “Let us walk properly, as in the day, not in revelry and drunkenness, not in lewdness and lust, not in strife and envy. But put on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make no provision for the flesh, to fulfill its lusts. When we accept Jesus Christ as our Lord, we yield to Him daily, crucifying the flesh through the help of the Holy Spirit. The proof of true repentance and gratitude for our salvation is to submit ourselves daily to God, seeking to please Him in all we do. When we live to please the one who delivered us from the power of darkness, the prince of this world will have nothing in us, and there will be no opening for the thief to legally steal, kill and destroy. Give no opportunity to the devil; do not give the devil a foothold or place (Ephesians 4:27).
When tempted to engage in immorality, abhor bitterness, live in unforgiveness, etc., let’s remember that the enemy constantly seeks opportunities to steal our joy. We must guard joy as our birthright in Christ.
Psalm 35:27 declares, “Let those who delight in my righteousness shout for joy and be glad and say evermore, “Great is the LORD, who delights in the welfare of his servant!” "
Psalm 35:27 is a prophetic declaration that our delight in righteousness, seeking and adopting God’s way of doing life, is guaranteed to keep us in the realm of joy. Seeking God’s way of doing life will drive you to feed on God’s Word daily, strengthening your faith in God’s faithfulness to take care of all that concerns you. Adopting God’s way of life will empower you to walk in the light, run away from sin, put devils in their place of defeat, and live fearlessly.
Again, take the pressure off yourself and lean on God to help you crucify the flesh daily, making no provision for the desires of the flesh to master you. Philippians 2:13 (AMP) declares, "For it is [not your strength, but it is] God who is effectively at work in you, both to will and to work [that is, strengthening, energizing, and creating in you the longing and the ability to fulfill your purpose] for His good pleasure."
I pray that the God of peace who brought up our Lord Jesus from the dead, that great Shepherd of the sheep, through the blood of the everlasting covenant, make you complete in every good work to do His will, working in you what is well pleasing in His sight, through Jesus Christ, to whom be glory forever and ever. Amen. Hebrews 13:20-21 (NKJV)
Take a moment to reflect on God's goodness and laugh.
We hope you were blessed!
