Relationships: Passing the Vibe Checkনমুনা
Day 6: Friendships
Proverbs 13:20 New Living Translation (NLT)
20 Walk with the wise and become wise; associate with fools and get in trouble.
Proverbs 18:24 New Living Translation (NLT)
24 There are “friends” who destroy each other, but a real friend sticks closer than a brother.
The message in these two verses from Proverbs is very clear, don’t you think? Choose your friends wisely. Be a good friend.
Luke 6:31 New International Version (NIV)
31 Do to others as you would have them do to you.
Ah, the Golden Rule. Have you heard this so many times that it has become not much more than a platitude? The value of this lesson is still priceless, so you need to reflect on the way you practice it in your life.
Colossians 3:12-14 New International Version (NIV)
12 Therefore, as God's chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience. 13 Bear with each other and forgive one another if any of you has a grievance against someone. Forgive as the Lord forgave you.14 And over all these virtues put on love, which binds them all together in perfect unity.
If you have accepted God’s only son Christ as your Savior, confessed your sins, and opened your heart to the leading of the Holy Spirit, you are one of the chosen people in this verse. Chosen. Powerful. You should feel compelled to be different from the rest of the world, and you can act on that feeling by showing these character traits from verse 12.
You are forgiven and can also forgive. You can love others and share God’s message of grace to bring hope to more people. Powerful.
