The Princess and the P'sনমুনা
PLUNGE!
One of the things that we are instructed to put on in the Christian life is the Armor of God. Included in the gear of the Christian soldier is the sword of the Spirit which is identified as the Word of God. It is by the Word of God that we renew our minds. It accurately gauges our thoughts, our actions, and our attitudes—and tells us which are in line and which need to be brought into line.
We can measure these thoughts, actions, and attitudes by Scripture’s perfect standard and see the areas where we need to come into greater conformity to its teaching. If we want to be able to effectively put off the sin of our old lives outside of Christ and instead clothe ourselves in the purity and holiness of godly Christian living, we need to take the truth of God’s Word to heart. We need to plunge the sword of the Spirit—the Word of God—into our own hearts and minds first and then walk forward in this truth.
About this Plan
You may have heard Hans Christian Andersen’s version of the old folk tale, "The Princess and the Pea"—a story where a prince uses a pea to discover a true princess. There are also P’s in the Christian life. This plan will examine six things that as the Bride of Christ we need to remember about who we are and, therefore, how we are to respond—all beginning with the letter P.
