Reflecting God’s Glory
The Holy Spirit comes to restore the image and likeness of the Lord in us. We are changed into Christ’s likeness as the Spirit works in us. God desires that we not only come to the Cross and have our sins forgiven, but that we also come and look in the “mirror” of His Son revealed in His Word, so we begin to be transformed.
The word mirror conveys the idea of “reflection” as well as “looking into.” The more we look at the “mirror” of the Word that reflects God’s glory, the more we will be changed into His image and likeness.
