Light of the World
White “light” is not the absence of color but actually the convergence of all colors. And we’ve all seen what happens when a beam of light is split. Passing through a prism—whether in the form of raindrops, an angular piece of glass, a crystal jewel or morning dew on a blade of grass—light separates into its component colors, and there before us, in the splendor of the spectrum, is the manifold brilliance of the rainbow.
So it is with our Lord Jesus Christ—the Light of the world. Sent by the Father into our world in His pristine, white-light perfection, He is the composite of the spectrum of God’s fullness.
