Peace on Earthনমুনা
What is our response?
As we conclude this devotional based on one familiar Christmas phrase, let us ponder and appreciate these words whenever we hear them played or sung.
“Glory to God in the highest heaven, and on earth peace to those on whom his favour rests.” Luke 2:14
Let us live in the joy and privilege of knowing the Prince of Peace as our personal Saviour.
As ambassadors of Jesus, we all have a responsibility to be ready to share the good news or the gospel with everyone who asks. During the Christmas season, people are more willing to hear about the birth of Jesus and why He came to earth. Why not grab those opportunities? When we do this, God will be glorified with His ever-increasing peace filling the earth.
Today God does not use angels to announce the good news that will cause great joy for all the people. He uses you and me. Let us always be prepared with shoes for our feet, "having put on the readiness given by the gospel of peace."
How beautiful upon the mountains
are the feet of him who brings good news,
who publishes peace, who brings good news of happiness,
who publishes salvation,
who says to Zion, “Your God reigns.”
Have a blessed Christmas!
Reflections
·How can you help spread the Shalom of Christ so that God is glorified?
·Would you call yourself an ambassador of peace?
