We don’t worship God because we have to; we worship God from the heart. We worship Him because we WANT to. Have you ever been listening to worship, maybe at church, in the car, or at home, singing the words but your mind is wandering off, thinking about what you want to eat for lunch after church? On the outside it looks like you’re praising God but in your head it’s “Hmmm Pizza, oh maybe chicken, I do like chicken. I’m so hungry, I can’t wait to have lunch”. It’s really easy to let our minds wander off. God doesn’t want us praising him by going through the usual motions and actions. He wants your heart to be drawing near to Him, worship from deep inside and focus your attention on Him.
