Daily Prayers for My Wifeনমুনা
PUT THE OTHER FIRST
Love one another deeply as brothers and sisters. Take the lead in honoring one another. ROMANS 12:10 CSB
We all have our own opinions, preferences, and processes for living through each day. If left to our own desires, we would plow forward with no thought to what our spouse prefers or how she would want to do things. But we are called to “honor [by] giving preference to one another.” This means putting a spouse’s needs and wants before our own. It’s natural to think that when we do, we’ll get left out, but God sees all things, and He rewards us when we walk in His ways and trust in His provision. Truly believing and giving preference to our wives in faith brings to light the honor we show God by doing things His way.
Lord, I want to please You, and I want to please my wife. Give me a spirit and mindset to put her desires before mine, and help me to trust You to fulfill the desires You know I have. Help me to form the habit of making this a natural way of living and loving each day. Make me sensitive to my wife’s preferences—the food she likes, the movies she watches, the activities she enjoys, and the music she listens to. I want to honor her in the ways that mean the most to her. Give me attentive ears and eyes to see what brings her joy and makes her heart smile. I want to be a blessing by putting her inclinations at the forefront of my mind and heart. IN YOUR STRENGTH AND GRACE I PRAY. AMEN.

About this Plan
Whether you’ve been married for five minutes or fifty years, one of the most loving things you can do to strengthen and protect your marriage is to pray. Your wife needs your prayer support to encourage and empower her to be the woman God created her to be and equip her to take on life's daily challenges. As you pray, you'll be inspired to express your love and care for her in new and meaningful ways.
