Who Am I?নমুনা
Where Do We Start?
You may feel overwhelmed and not know where to start. What lies that you have previously believed should you work on uprooting first? What area of your life should you work on changing to look and feel more like a child of God? The answer is simple: Create mental finish lines to run toward. This discipline of running one step at a time is precisely what Paul was talking about in Philippians 3:12-14.
You can ensure forward movement and eventually finish the race by taking small steps. Press on! No, you are not where you want to end up, but guess what? You can get there if you keep pressing on. If you keep focusing on that one thing. If you keep taking that one step!
A great place to take your first step is in your thinking. If you get your mind right, you will get your life right. Paul mentions this as he writes to the church in Corinth. In 1 Corinthians 9:24-27, Paul writes about the essential ingredients of self-control and discipline in a race.
Don’t believe you have what it takes to reach the finish line? Stop relying on your own capacity and start leaning into God! In Galatians, Paul writes about the fruits of the Holy Spirit. Without these, you won’t be running the race effectively. Lean into God, seek to better understand His Word, let the Holy Spirit’s influence run unbridled in your life, and watch Him transform your life.
Still don’t think you can change? Take a look at the gospel of Matthew in Matthew 17:20. Here, Jesus is telling the disciples they do not have enough faith. He also tells them if they did have enough faith, they could MOVE MOUNTAINS. No matter how deeply ingrained you believe the stronghold of the enemy is in your life, God CAN and WILL move it! Have faith that He will intervene and aid you, and take the first step in the right direction!
Who are you? How has your identity and your view of yourself changed since you started this YouVersion plan? God wants to transform your life. It is up to you to lean into His truth of who you are and let Him mold you into the person He created you to be. Stop believing the lies of the enemy, and start embracing who you are in Christ Jesus!
