Accepted: Discover Your Identity in Christনমুনা

Accepting My Love That Never Changes
When we hear something about ourselves that is difficult, it can be tempting to push it away. We may be reluctant to take a hard look at why it is that we are uncomfortable. It can be difficult to get to the bottom of what it is that is making us squirm. Together, let's reflect on that a bit--particularly considering what it is like to lay down the idol of approval.
We heard this spoken to us in this plan: “I know why this is so hard to believe: It is only when you give up the idol of approval that you will accept My love that never changes.”
And this: “It's not often that you rest in Me, rest in My approval. What if you lived knowing you could never do anything to be loved less or more than you are right now?”
What has been the most challenging part of this message? What has been the most encouraging? What has your experience been like contemplating and responding to these words for you?
What is your prayer to God in response? How do you need Him now?
What do you hear Him saying?

About this Plan

This world teaches us to depend on the approval of others. But the truth is, the only approval that matters is God’s—and we already have it because of Christ! In this 4-day plan, let Holy Spirit challenge you to lay down the idol of approval and teach you to rest in the truth that He accepts you as you are.
