The Birth of the Christian Church

DAY 11 OF 20

Paul and Barnabas left the Council in Jerusalem and returned to the church in Antioch with an important letter. The letter assured the Gentile believers that they were saved by grace because of their faith in Christ. The letter also encouraged the Gentiles to avoid immorality and live as faithful witnesses to the gospel. The church in Antioch was greatly encouraged by the message they received from the Council in Jerusalem, and Paul and Barnabas also ensured the other Gentile churches were informed.

For the Lord God is a sun and shield; the Lord bestows favor and honor. No good thing does he withhold from those who walk uprightly. (Psalm 84:11)
