Managing Time and Money Wiselyনমুনা
Not One-Size-Fits-All
We’ve spent a lot of time learning why it’s important for us to manage our resources well, but it’s likely that there’s still some big questions. And that’s okay! Reframe your questions as an opportunity to connect with Jesus.
He has entrusted everyone with different resources for a reason, even if we don’t understand or know the specific details. What’s important is that we stay close to Him. When we do, He is faithful to show us what we need to do, and how we can continue walking in obedience to His words.
Ultimately, money and time are just tools that bring us back to the creation story. God entrusted Adam and Eve with ruling over the earth. And because of Jesus, we get to be rulers over our money and time.
We take this responsibility seriously, because our time and money will either bring us closer to God or farther from Him. It’s an opportunity for us to either trust in ourselves and cultivate an attitude of self-reliance, or it’s an invitation to trust God as our Provider.
When we manage our resources with open hands and surrender to God’s will, He will guide us in how we use these resources.
Remember: There’s not a one-size-fits-all solution to every financial situation or a bullet-proof time management strategy. Everyone will have their own next step.
But when we’re each obedient to what God is calling us to—when we share and give what we can with what we have—we’ll realize we can all offer something. And this realization will open us up to receive what others can contribute.
This is what it looks like for the Body of Christ to come together to bring all the glory and worship back to God.
Pray: God, thank You for trusting me with the things You’ve given me. Stir my heart to faithful action, believing that Your will and Your plan are better than anything I could ever imagine. Please show me what my next step is so that I can reflect You to everyone around me. In Jesus’ name, amen!
