From Chaos to Clarityনমুনা
From Chaos
I don’t know about you, but I have certainly felt “without form and void,” similar to the earth in the first stages of creation. There were times in my past when making something of myself felt so impossible. Times when the chaos was all-encompassing. You know what I’m talking about. We are bombarded by messages that tell us we are only a few swipes, clicks, and taps away from wealth. Motivational speeches and self-help programs saturate society. We change careers, work longer hours, marry, divorce, relocate, and do whatever we can to find true identity and calling.
Here’s the truth about “without form and void.” The earth was full of possibility, yet it had no power. It was entirely dependent upon its creator to awaken its true potential.
The Bible says the Spirit of God hovered over the face of the waters. When you think about the reflective properties of water, this is a powerful image. The earth reflected God’s Spirit before He did His work.
Then God spoke. His word was the catalyst for forming the earth into what we know today. And here’s the best part: the earth was entirely reliant upon God’s creative abilities to become something other than the void of nothing that it had been. The earth reflected the image of God, and then it was shaped, formed, and given purpose by His word.
The same goes for us. First, you need God to reflect His image to the depths of who you are. Then you need Him to speak every step of your life into manifestation.
What does this look like in real life? It looks like an encounter with God. To have that, all you need to do is call on Him. It really is that simple. Pledge your allegiance to Jesus and believe He first loved you, died for you, and broke all barriers between you and God.
Take that one step toward Him, and He will take a thousand toward you.
Question: What is your goal or overall pursuit in life? How is this goal influenced by society’s message of success and prosperity? Is it in alignment with God’s heart for you and your life?
