Heavenly Minded

There’s a difference between struggling in life yet still moving forward and allowing your struggles to propel you backward. God will empower you to overcome. We are blood-bought saints of the Most High God! If you were standing in line at the judgment seat and somebody offered you a million bucks for your salvation, you wouldn’t sell it. So why do we trade it here on earth? The goal isn’t to walk around scared that you’re not going to make heaven, but we still need to live every day in light of eternity. The truth is that everything on this earth is about eternity; it’s not about earth. So, everything we do now should be geared for eternity, but we don’t always live that way. We live in a culture of people who want to get away with as much sin as possible, yet still assume they will slip in through the gates of heaven. We can’t just neglect God our whole lives and then still expect an invitation to his party. That’s not how this thing works.
