Prayers for Dadsনমুনা

Fatherhood Is A Legacy and Blessing
By Danny Saavedra
Father, Your Word tells us that if we train up our children in Your ways, diligent to raise them to walk with You, teach them to live according to Your Word, “meditate on it day and night, so you may be careful to do everything written in it. Then you will be prosperous and successful” (Joshua 1:8 NIV) and “even when [they are] old [they] will not depart from it” (Proverbs 22:6 ESV).
Thank You for this promise. Thank You that we dads can play an active part in the work You do in our kids' lives. So, today dear Lord, as we wrap up these seven days of prayer, I pray for the legacies You are crafting through these dads. I pray the seeds of the gospel being planted today in the lives of these children would produce a harvest. I pray for dads with children who are far away from You that You would use dads now to draw their kids into a relationship with You. I pray for endurance, wisdom, discernment, and patience for all dads in Christ as You mold and shape them. I pray these words over them and the legacy of faith they are instilling: “The Lord bless you and keep you; the Lord make his face shine on you and be gracious to you; the Lord turn his face toward you and give you peace” (Numbers 6:24–26 NIV).
Bless these dads, bless their families, and make them a blessing unto others. Amen.
