The ABC's of a Faithful Lifeনমুনা
Why does God’s word bring us peace?
Read Psalm 119:145–176
God’s word continues to speak to every passing generation. The truth of Scripture never changes. Each of us will be judged righteously by the Word, and we will be accountable to an everlasting God who never changes. Jesus promises, “Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will never pass away” (Matthew 24:35).

Conclusion
We all turn from God’s truth sometimes and misunderstand its teaching. But, Mark Twain put it well when he said, “Most people are bothered by those passages of Scripture they do not understand, but the passages that bother me are those I do understand.”
Psalm 119 teaches us that God’s word is perfect, even when we can’t perfectly follow it. We become a student of God’s word but we never finish the course—until we finish this earthly life we live.
His word is perfect, eternal truth. It is a lamp to our feet and a light to our path. If we hide these words in our hearts we won’t be as likely to sin. And his word gives us strength and peace for the hard times and continued joy in all times.
If you haven’t come to love your Bible, remind yourself of the lessons in Psalm 119. This Psalm truly contains the ABC’s needed to live a life of faith, because we have learned what it means to trust and obey God’s perfect word.
Max Lucado - “You have a God who hears you, the power of love behind you, the Holy Spirit within you, and all of heaven ahead of you. If you have the Shepherd, you have grace for every sin, direction for every turn, a candle for every corner and an anchor for every storm. You have everything you need.”
