Identifying Insecurity: 3 Ways to Cultivate More Confidence Through Intentional Soul Careনমুনা
Strategy 3: Compel Yourself to Leave Your Comfort Zone
How do you feel when you run from an opportunity that makes you anxious? If we're going to be honest, it probably provides immediate relief. That moment when our palms stop sweating, our heart rates become regulated, and our breathing calms again is all worth it. Until the regrets set in and the what-ifs begin to stalk us.
Imposter syndrome has stolen the best from us for too long. We stifled our gifts and swallowed our calling when it threatened to embarrass us. Obsessed with saving ourselves from rejection, we rejected the only One whose applause resounds throughout the earth, who sees the end from the beginning and has the power to save us from the shame of rejection. He is our sweet Savior, best friend, and our Heavenly Father.
It doesn't matter who's against us if God is for us. Remembering that is the only way we're going to be drawn outside of our comfort zones. There are times when it will be scary, when we stay up late wondering if it will work, and when our worries weaken our position. In those times, we must remember that our Great God is for us, and we will be motivated again. When we feel the nod of His head, the proud smirk on His face, and the clap of His hands meeting to encourage us forward, we will know He's with us. The safest place we could ever be is in the center of God's will, and that, my dear sister, starts at the end of our comfort zones.
Journal
Write down a list of people to whom you look for approval and ask God to set you free from their opinions. Wise counsel is encouraged throughout scripture, but if it begins to constrict us and keep us from fulfilling a dream God's placed in our heart, it may no longer be wise counsel. It may have become a barrier to doing what God wants us to do.
Dream Again
Write down what you would do if you knew all of Heaven was backing you.
Let's Pray:
Heavenly Father, You are so unbelievably good. Please help me to become so aware of Your presence that all other distractions and things that would come to discourage me from taking action would be silenced. I thank You that You have called me beyond my comfort zone to partner with You. I accept the invitation. In Your name, Jesus, I pray, amen.

It’s time to practice some intentional soul care to get over imposter syndrome and the belief that we are cheap copies instead of the incredible originals God created. It’s time to dream again. Remember, when our souls flourish, everything else flourishes, including our confidence.
