The Vision Led Life

DAY 1 OF 5

Vision Brings Focus In Place Of Distractions

Never has there been a generation more distracted than ours.

Courtesy of our devices, we can distract ourselves with almost anything, at any time, from anywhere in the world.

It’s a contrast to Jesus, who at 12 years of age, had already embraced a vision-led life.

Jesus proves this to be true in Luke 2 when He confesses to His parents: “I must be about my Father’s business”.

Most 12-year-olds aren’t known for their clarity of vision, but Jesus had not only embraced a vision-led life but made it His priority.

What about you?

Have you focused your life on the ‘business’ that your Heavenly Father has for you to accomplish?

When we prioritize what we must do, we are able to focus and not be distracted.

When we lose focus of what matters to the Father, we lose purpose and ultimately get caught up in trivial pursuits that are of no spiritual or eternal consequence.

If the devil can get your focus, he can squander your legacy.

Jesus warns us in Mark 4 that the thing which chokes out God’s word in our lives and makes us unfruitful is often just a desire for other things or distractions.

Don’t let distractions take your focus because our priority should remain the same through every season.

Take time today to write down the God-inspired vision for your life and choose to focus on that as you go about your day.

About this Plan

The Vision Led Life

Vision makes the difference in how we approach our lives. Jesus knew what His priority was when He was just 12 years old and had already embraced a vision led life. To put it simply, Jesus knew what He was about. When we identify God inspired vision, it produces multiple positive effects in our lives. Through this devotional, we’ll consider five of them and their application for our lives.
