Love God Greatly: You Are Forgiven

DAY 31 OF 54

SOAP – Romans 12:21
Christians are called to lead the way in doing what is good and what is right in the eyes of God. We distinguish ourselves as Christians by the way we love and treat one another, especially our enemies. As difficult as this is, we must trust that our righteous and just God will fairly judge and punish those who have hurt us.

In what situation are you tempted to take revenge? We must remember that God is the only righteous judge and will carry out His vengeance in His time and in His way. We can release our desire for revenge by trusting that God causes all things to work together for good to those who belong to Him. If God vindicated Jesus, surely He will vindicate His children as well.

Father God, I thank You for being my defender and my protector. Give me the desire to overcome evil by showing sincere love to those who wish me harm. Help me to trust Your promise to avenge all of Your people who have been harmed and persecuted. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
