Proverbs – Introduction To Wisdomনমুনা
The Treasure Hunt
Every son or daughter of God has a calling upon his or her life to honor and remember the Father’s timeless wisdom. Only if we are hungry for this wisdom will we receive it. Only if we remember it will we apply it.
This spiritual wisdom comes to receptive, searching hearts. So the calling upon our lives is to “cry out for comprehension and intercede for insight” (v. 3, TPT). It is to engage in a spiritual treasure hunt in which we look for true wisdom.
God’s perfect wisdom is like sterling silver. What man or woman, hearing there is a huge chest full of silver in a dark cave in the tallest mountains, wouldn’t do everything and anything to discover it?
We cherish such treasure in the natural realm. We should do the same in the spiritual.
If you think about it, when we were children we loved stories about hidden treasure. We loved playing games in which we hunted for treasure.
This is a key. If we are to find the treasure of God’s wisdom, then we must have the mind of a child. We must come before the Father and hear him call us “my child” (v. 1).
Cultivate today a childlike spirit in which you long for the heavenly treasure of the Father’s wisdom.
How great is your passion for the treasure of God’s wisdom? Write a prayer in which you cry out for God’s wisdom.
