The Younger Generation

Motherboard surveyed thought leaders, professors, and experts about the future, and the number one reason for hope was young people. There is creativity, inspiration, motivation, and love that's contagious in the younger generation. 

I was recently at a camp with hundreds of children, and after watching them celebrate, connect, and care for each other, I thought, "We need more adults to act like these kids!" 

These core beliefs about kids can impact your life and future:  

• Every child is a gift and is wonderfully made.  
• Every child is significant both right now and for our future.   
• Every child needs a forever family and adults who support them.

How can you get involved and make a difference in the lives of children?  

1. Love your own children and grandchildren well.  
2. Adopt a child.   
3. Serve with foster care for kids.   
4. Become a coach or mentor with a school, program, or non-profit organization.   
5. Sponsor children overseas, and write them letters.

When you love children, you will probably learn more than when you teach, receive more than when you give, and grow far more than you realize.

The younger generation in your community needs you, and serving them will bring you a greater and stronger hope for the future.
