Burning Bush - Moses Submits
“The Angel of the Lord appeared to him in a blazing fire from the midst of a bush; and he looked, and behold, the bush was burning with fire, yet the bush was not consumed…. God called to him from the midst of the bush and said, ‘Moses, Moses!’ and he said, ‘Here I am.’” (Exodus 3:2)
What is the meaning of this incident? It was a holy manifestation of God on Holy ground. God was allowed to manifest because of Moses’ willing heart to follow Him. God knew that he would receive it and listen.
Moses Submits
If God’s men will realize that God will reveal Himself to them when they are willing, we might have more burning bush instances. Just to note, Moses knew he was flawed. It wasn’t like God chose a perfect human. Moses committed murder, fled Pharoah and hid like a thief! Yet God still beckoned him back to His plan of freeing the Israelites from slavery. These are not just Old Testament events that are not a possibility today. There are still people in bondage all over the earth, God has a continuous plan to deliver, conquer, and rescue. As long as we are here and the earth exists, God will have a plan. He needs willing vessels to execute that plan. Any man or woman who is willing can become that person who wields God’s power and is used strategically in His ongoing plan.
Reflection:
Is God beckoning you? Is He leading you to fulfill your part in His ongoing plan? Are you ignoring His voice that is compelling you to a cause? If He is calling you, it is not too late to answer that call!

About this Plan
Moses is credited with writing the first five books of the Bible, and manifesting some of the greatest miracles ever recorded during his lifetime. This devotional is the first in a series that explores the characteristics of powerful, biblical men that God used to not only write down His words but also to exhibit His very power on the earth. This plan was written by April Knoke.
