Praying in the Waiting নমুনা

Praying in the Waiting

DAY 1 OF 3

Sometimes, life gets so tough that I know I need to pray, but my words fail me. When I don’t know what else to pray, I turn to the Bible and pray scripture. Turning God’s Word into a first-person prayer has seen me through some of my darkest times.

The best way I have found to do this is to search for a Bible verse that best counters the lie that I am believing. There was a time in my life where my thought life was overwhelming. Every thought felt like it contradicted what I should be thinking or believing. I started using Philippians 4:8 as my guide and prayed it throughout that season. It looked something like this:

If it is not true, noble, right, pure, lovely, admirable—excellent or praiseworthy—Lord, help me choose not to think about such things.

I keep a whole list of prayers just like this one on my phone that I read weekly if not daily to help focus my prayers on what God already tells me is true. When I am struggling for words, I have not found a better way to pray than to use His own words in the Bible. By praying scripture, I have found new ways to talk to God, and He has used it to renew my mind and heart in the process.

Today, I want to challenge you to pray using some scripture. The scripture reading for today is not just some Bible passage to read,  but a prayer you can apply to your life.
