Where Is Your Treasure?

DAY 6 OF 7

See as Jesus saw

When he saw the crowds, he had compassion for them, because they were harassed and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd.

See as Jesus saw. Feel as Jesus felt. Love as Jesus loved. Jesus saw people. He looked deeply into their eyes and into their souls. He saw each person as someone who mattered to God. He saw people as those who were special in the sight of God. Jesus saw people like no one has ever seen people. Jesus felt for people. His heart was bursting with tender compassion. He felt for those people who were especially needy. He felt for people who were helpless. He felt for people who were harassed by an onslaught of problems. Deep feelings flooded Jesus’ heart whenever he encountered human beings in pain. Jesus felt for people like no one has ever felt.

Jesus loved people. He cared. He wept. He healed. He touched. He taught. He rebuked. He forgave. He died. He rose. No one has ever loved people the way Jesus loved people.

See as Jesus saw. Feel as Jesus felt. Love as Jesus loved. This is true for all the people in your world. Your spouse. Your children. The cranky coworker down the hall. Your difficult boss. The man who dries your car at the car wash. The reclusive neighbor down the street. The showoff in your gym class. The friend who let you down. The parent who still tries to control you. The rude clerk at the mall. The loud, know-it-all coach of your son’s soccer team. Your non-Christian friend who has the weirdest ideas. The woman in your small group who is offended by the smallest things. Each and every person in your world. See as Jesus saw. Feel as Jesus felt. Love as Jesus loved.

About this Plan

Where Is Your Treasure?

Money is God's rival in the human heart. Our meaning, our sense of value, and our sense of security all depend on the money and things we own, although this should not be so. Security can be found in money and things, or found in God. What is first in your life: money or God? Surely we'll all say that of course God is first, but actually, is He?
