LEAD WITH CONSISTENCY
Consistency is such a mature attribute in the kingdom. In several circles it’s been called “Staying Power.” Can we stay in the fire? Can we stay the course? Can we build long enough to see results? Can you dig deep enough to see growth? It’s so important that we develop consistency with how we lead, how we love, and how we do…anything.
Consistency is your reputation. Proverbs 22:1 (AMP) says, “A good name [earned by honorable behavior, godly wisdom, moral courage, and personal integrity] is more desirable than great riches.” The word earned sticks out in this translation because it shows something that was done consistently that built up into a decision or achievement. The google dictionary says the word earn means, ‘to gain deservedly in return for one's behavior or achievements’. Consistency in anything will give you a result. In leadership, it’s your badge of honor. We should desire for people to feel like they can count on us, and know that we value consistency.
It’s impossible to have spiritual consistency without the Holy Spirit. But, in godly leadership, it is extremely important to obtain. When you are in leadership at this level (the level of doing damage to the kingdom of darkness and being used to bring joy to dead and darkened places of people’s souls), the enemy will do everything he can to bring attacks against you. Remember, he can’t touch you, but he will try to deceive you. So, being spiritually consistent in reading God’s word, praying, fasting, and even in fellowship is extremely important. You are a target! This commitment to consistency is to protect and keep you focused so that you can be as effective as you need to be in your life and in leadership. Lead with consistency.
