Daily Bible Reading – July 2021, God’s Word of Faithনমুনা
July 20
Introduction
Paul warns the Philippians to be on guard against those who do evil things and to avoid putting their trust in external ceremonies. He describes the journey of faith in terms of running toward a goal. The chapter concludes with Paul expressing his eagerness in waiting for Jesus Christ to come from heaven.
Today’s Scripture Reading
Philippians 3:1-21
Today’s Key Verse: Philippians 3:12b
"I keep striving to win the prize for which Christ Jesus has already won me to himself."
Reflect
What does Paul say he reckons “as loss” (verse 7)? What does he now consider valuable? What is the “goal” toward which Paul is running (verse 14)? Paul once again refers to Christ’s return (verses 20 and 21). What does he say will happen? What is your understanding of what it means to be “citizens of heaven” (verse 20)?
Pray
Lord Jesus, knowledge of you as my Lord is priceless and beyond measure. I pray that I may be completely united with you, and I pray that you will grant me the righteousness that is given through faith in you. Amen.
Prayer Concern
