Learning to Pray the Jesus Wayনমুনা

Learning to Pray the Jesus Way

DAY 4 OF 5

Learning To Pray Prophetically

Prayers are prophetic declarations. At least they should be. Unfortunately, so often our prayers are petulant and filled with self-pity. We complain; we grouse; we rant in prayer. While we can definitely do all of that, since we can come as we are to the throne of grace, there comes a time when we should get up, dust the dirt off, and speak forth what God has in store for us instead of talking about all that's going wrong.

Prophecy is not foretelling but forth telling meaning we use scripture to speak out what God has decreed over us and our situation. Prophecy is using eyes of faith, which see the unseen, and declaring God’s word over every situation and encounter.

These sorts of prayers can be prayed only when the word of God is hidden in our hearts in order for it to be prophetic and not based on our feelings. When we start to read and learn scriptures, we can begin to claim it over our everyday circumstances. These prayers are powerful as they speak into the spiritual environment and create an atmosphere of faith.

Prophetic prayers create our life’s script because they set us up to expectantly wait on God and to see His kingdom come on earth. They strengthen our faith and enable the Holy Spirit to move supernaturally in our lives and bring incredible transformation.

About this Plan

Learning to Pray the Jesus Way

Prayer is often overlooked in our Christian lives because we assume that because God already knows everything, we don’t need to speak to Him. This plan will help you reorder your life so that you intentionally make time to seek God’s will for your life and pray until you see things happen. Prayer cannot be our backup option anymore but our first response to everything.
