All Good Begins in Him: Healing Your Hard Heartনমুনা
What Does Your Heart Receive?
Together, let’s pause and spend some time with verses from Isaiah 43. Try to read them a few different ways, whatever feels right to you. Silently, maybe, the first time. Use your imagination to picture what is happening, as if it is a movie scene playing out in front of you.
Then, the second time, consider reading it aloud. Pay attention to the emotions that rise within you as you listen to the words you speak.
Then, for a third time, read it again and imagine God, or Jesus, standing in front of you and speaking these words to you.
“This is what God says,
the God who builds a road right through the ocean,
who carves a path through pounding waves,
The God who summons horses and chariots and armies—
they lie down and then can’t get up;
they’re snuffed out like so many candles:
“Forget about what’s happened;
don’t keep going over old history.
Be alert, be present. I’m about to do something brand-new.
It’s bursting out! Don’t you see it?
There it is! I’m making a road through the desert,
rivers in the badlands.
Wild animals will say ‘Thank you!’
—the coyotes and the buzzards—
Because I provided water in the desert,
rivers through the sun-baked earth,
Drinking water for the people I chose,
the people I made especially for myself,
a people custom-made to praise me” (Isaiah 43:16-31, MSG).

About this Plan
The world tells us we can do/be/fix anything, if only we try hard enough. It's easy to forget that God is the only one with this power. When we are hurting, we assume we just need to try harder and we'll feel better. This plan invites you to change your perspective, invite God into your darkest places, and allow him to do a new thing in you, today.
