Shall We Continue To Sin?
“What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound? God forbid. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein?” Romans 6:1-2 KJV
Shall you continue in sin that God’s Grace may abound? God forbid. Choose to turn away from sin. Choose to turn away from the habits of the past. Choose to turn away from the hang-ups of the past. Choose to let the past go and surrender your whole heart to Christ.
The Amplified Version expounds upon Romans 6:1-2 AMPC in the following manner, “WHAT SHALL we say [to all this]? Are we to remain in sin in order that God's grace (favor and mercy) may multiply and overflow? Certainly not! How can we who died to sin live in it any longer?” Die to sin. Die to the old way of doing things.
Let the old man go and choose not to touch the old things of the past. Proverbs 26:11 AMPC declares, “As a dog returns to his vomit, so a fool returns to his folly.” A fool returns to the sin of the past. Let the “vomit” of the past go. Let the rejection of the past go. Let the weight and condemnation of the past go. Surrender to Christ and be set free.
