The grace of God takes us to where the grace of God keeps us. We brought nothing into this world and we can take nothing out of it. All our accomplishments, our good works, our strengths, our failures, the things we are proud of, and the things we try to ignore or pretend never happened are all only for this temporal, earthly life. The only thing that is of eternal value that actually matters in terms of eternity is salvation, and that is a gift from God. Pure grace. Nothing that we can claim or boast about. Even faith in God for salvation is His gift to us. As we quiet our hearts and allow this to put things in perspective for us today, may we rejoice in the hope of salvation we have received, and seek to share this with those around us.

• The Church to live life in the light of eternity.

• Many more around us to receive the gift of salvation.
