DAY 14 OF 23

Be Slow in Anger

Proverbs 19:12

A king’s anger scares people like the roar of a lion. But his kindness is as pleasant as the dew on the grass.

Have you ever felt like the Incredible Hulk? You were full of anger to the extent that you felt like banging the tables, screaming, and throwing things to others? You felt like it was so hard to control your anger.

Getting angry is not a sin but when you let the anger take control over you, that makes you become very hostile and nasty. Then it will create a lot of trouble and mess. It will only hurt yourself and scare others. Nothing left but regret.

This Proverb encourages us to be known for being well-tempered. Don’t let little things throw you off. Always be willing to give someone a second chance. In return, when you wrong someone else, they will also be forgiving towards you. Remember that God always forgives you no matter how many times you sin and ask for forgiveness from Him.

When angry, count to ten before you speak. If very angry, count to one hundred - Thomas Jefferson

Prayer

Dear God, may the Holy Spirit guide me to overcome evil with good. May God’s love and forgiveness work in my life. Amen.
