#Goals - Part 1 - Se Studentsনমুনা
Has there ever been a time when you came out of a particularly rough season and looked back and saw all the ways God had worked and moved in your life? It can sometimes be difficult to do, but Scripture shows us that God is not the kind of God who shows up at the end and makes everything better. He places people where they need to be in order for His glory to be known. His purpose will always prevail, no matter what!
In this case, Joseph’s brothers who were cruel had the opportunity to be in front of Joseph again and humble themselves. Joseph could have been spiteful and could have ruined their lives like they “ruined” his, but God had been faithful to Joseph so he showed kindness instead. He had learned to live and love like God.
Joseph and his brothers lived out their days in Egypt—creating the Hebrew population that was later enslaved by pharaoh, saved by Moses, and led back into the promised land. God was working. He took these families that were riddled with conflict, strife, greed, and anger and made a whole nation from them. Jesus himself came from the line of Judah, one of Jacob’s sons.
If God can work with four generations to create a whole nation, imagine what He could do in your family when there is day-to-day conflict. We are called to love like He first loved us. How much do you think the world would change if you showed grace and received grace like Joseph and his brothers? You never know how God will change the world through your family.
Thanks for completing this reading plan! We pray that this helped you get connected to Jesus. We would love to hear from you on how God used this plan in your life. Keep the conversation going by emailing us at keeptalking@secc.org.
