Maybe you've accepted God's forgiveness and understand that you're free from sin but there are areas of your life where you don't feel free. We can feel trapped by feelings of fear or worry or things that are holding us back. God can set us free! His Word is full of keys that can unlock freedom for us in all areas of our life. We can ask God to help us to live free. 

If you have a dog, you may have seen a dog walking harness. The dog wears this when you take it for a walk and the harness is attached to a leash. This means the person walking the dog can keep it from being free to run away. Harnesses are made for dogs to keep them safe. A harness isn't made to keep people from being free.  

Others may try to tell us who they think we are. What others say might be untrue and unkind and have us feeling like we're stuck in a harness, bound to the things they say. When we know that God says we are free, we don't need to live trapped by the things others say about us.  

When we know who God says we are, we can take our stand on the truth of God's Word. We can be free from the limitations others might try to put on us. In Christ we can live in freedom! You are not who others say you are, you are who God says you are. I am who God says I am and He says I am free.
