DAY 5--Your Identity
Liar. Drug Addict. Murderer. Harlot.
Which one of the above do you identify with?
As I read the Bible, there are so many of the characters that have a history of mistakes and less than desirable lifestyles.
Look at Rahab. So much can be said about this amazing woman who happens to find herself included in the lineage of Jesus Christ. However, the only thing most can remember about Rahab is that she was a harlot.
I hate it when people want to continue to identify me by my past.
I've committed countless sins, just like the rest of the world, but isn't it funny that there are always those who will highlight the ugliest of sins from our past that they can remember.
As I look at Rahab, there is so much to say about her, just as I am sure there are a million wonderful things to say about you. But five times we hear her called "HARLOT"—almost every time her name is mentioned. Let us consider these facts about this remarkable woman.
Rahab was a Canaanite. Rahab protected and hid men of God.
Rahab found her way to be included in the lineage of Jesus by marriage. Rahab was the grandmother of Jesse and the great grandmother of David.
Out of all of these facts all many can remember is that she was a harlot.
Therefore, remember this about yourself today: people will call you what they want to call you. They will remember you the way they choose to remember you. You have no control over that. What you can control is who you are today. Be the best version of who God has called you to be that you can be.
Be the you that God intended for you to be.
Wonderful, Peacemaker, Gifted, Loving, Talented, Honest, You.
What's Next: Remember who you are.
Prophesy: I am made in the image and likeness of God. I am more than a conqueror. I am a royal priesthood and a chosen generation. I was created by my loving Father God and He created me with a purpose to fulfill and I will fulfill it! In the mighty name of Jesus Christ! Amen.

About this Plan
We've each been there. For some, it's a daily destination, while for others it is a faraway land that seems completely out of reach in this season. No matter who you are, the place of "Surrender" is within reach. It's where you will find your victory, your purpose, and yourself. Journey with Pastor Shauna D. Harrison on a 5-day journey deeper into the heart of the Father.
