UNcomfortable

DAY 5 OF 5

Change is something that presses us out of our comfort zone.

It is destiny-filtered, heart-grown, and faith-built. Change is inequitable, not a respecter of persons. Change is for the better or for the worst, depending on where and how you view it. Change has an adjustment period which varies on the individual. It is uncomfortable, for changing from one state to the next upsets our control over outcomes.

Comfort zone – A place or situation where one feels safe or at ease and without stress.

A comfort zone is a psychological state in which things feel familiar to a person and they are at ease and in control of their environment, experiencing low levels of anxiety and stress. In this zone, a steady level of performance is possible.

Life WILL make you feel uncomfortable, but do not ever let it stop you from doing what you need to do. You must remember, it is a good thing to feel uncomfortable. When you feel uncomfortable, it means you are moving forward and exploring new territory. You are being stretched into a new area of increased effectiveness. You have to be comfortable with being uncomfortable. You have to get content with not being content. You have to learn to roll with the punches and not attempt to block out the changes and discomfort that you will go through to become who you need to become. Embrace it. Accept it as a new chapter in your life, and then turn the page.

Uncomfortable times will come when we least expect it. When you’re going through a period of discomfort, understand that it is a period of growth. A period of change. A period of transformation.

When you start to embrace being uncomfortable, then it becomes more comfortable. When you stop fearing change, it will become an easier process.
