Hello Baby, I Love You! Abc's for Young Momsনমুনা
U
is for Unconditional Love.
When your baby was placed in your arms for the first time, you were probably flooded with a wave of emotion that was unlike anything you've ever felt. In the following days, weeks, and months, you've come to develop a deep love for your child that is beyond description with mere words. In our culture love is often defined as a feeling, emotion, or display of affection for someone else.
As you are no doubt learning, love is so much more than that! While love can be demonstrated through affection, it is also commitment, devotion, patience, and selflessness. Love endures, perseveres, and bears all things. Sometimes love is doing what is hard because it is in the best interest of another. You will, no doubt, experience that in parenting. On this journey of being a parent, we all make mistakes.
None of us will ever love perfectly. Only God's love is perfect. As we humbly entrust ourselves to Christ, His love pours over us and through us in such a tender way. When you fail, make mistakes, or sin, or when your child does the same remember that love covers a multitude of sins.
God loved you when you were His enemy. As you remember the mercy and grace you received, love your child through his or her sinful selfish moments, through those mistakes (his and yours), resting in God's perfect love for both of you.
