is for Learning
We will always be learning! The Lord is always enough!
We all are learning every day and every step of the way. Each of us is being formed, conformed, and transformed into the image of Christ. On this journey of being a parent, you will make mistakes. Each day will bring new and varied challenges. No one will ever do what they have been called to do perfectly. Your tender Shepherd is leading, guiding, and teaching you. It is a joy for Him to see you grow and walk in the truth. Remember it isn't about you and your performance, but about Christ, what He accomplished on the cross, and what He accomplishes through you.
There is plenty of room for you to make mistakes. As you humbly admit that you can't but the Lord can you will experience more and more freedom to make mistakes, to learn from your sin, and submit to Christ and follow Him.
When you make mistakes and when your child makes a mistake (and that sweet little bundle will make plenty of them as they grow and mature), remember God is in control. He has provided for all of our mistakes and our sins. Thinking rightly about the truth of the gospel will keep your heart fixed upon Christ and will point your child to Christ and the gospel as well.
Keep these truths close at hand at all times:
- There is no condemnation for those who are in Christ
- God promises to work ALL things together for good for those who love Him and are called according to His purpose.
