The Bible for All: How to Pray for Bible Translationনমুনা
The Word for All
The Scriptures take us to Jesus, the author of our eternal life.
John 5:39 hits home for every person. We have all been caught looking for love in the wrong places. At some point in our lives, we come to the realization that nothing on this earth will satisfy us except Jesus alone. John 5:39 shows us that we can even make the mistake of thinking the Bible has eternal life for us.
It doesn’t.
Jesus alone gives us eternal life.
But look closely at what Jesus does say: “The Scriptures point to me!” So why do we pray for Bible translation? The answer is beautifully seen in a recent statement from a people group in Africa that received the Bible in their language for the first time: “Jesus is now one of us.”
Bible translation brings life transformation because the goal is Jesus, for every language community on earth. Jesus is the Word (John 1:1) and we know Him through the Word—the Bible.
Prayer habit #1: Pray before you read the Bible.
Before you read the Bible, begin to develop the life habit of pausing and praying for ALL people on earth to have the Bible in their language. View the video below to inspire your prayers for the global ministry of Bible translation.
