Moving Mountains
I love these words from the psalmist:
The Lord alone is our radiant hope and we trust in him with all our hearts. His wrap-around presence will strengthen us. As we trust, we rejoice with an uncontained joy flowing from Yahweh! Let your love and steadfast kindness overshadow us continually, for we trust and we wait upon you! (Psalm 33:20–22, TPT).
What a beautiful scripture to remember when obstacles arise and the night refuses to give way to the light.
For though we often climb one mountain only to encounter another that we didn’t see looming on the other side, we have a sure hope as an anchor for our soul (see Hebrews 6:18–19). Jesus Himself said that if we will only have faith the size of a mustard seed, we’ll see those mountains move (see Matthew 17:20).
So, today, choose to believe God is who He says He is. In the face of your fear, choose to believe He will do what He said He’ll do.
Personal Reflection
What mountains are you praying will move in your life today? Be encouraged. The God who goes before you is with you now, and He won’t fail or forsake you!
About this Plan
Culture often dictates that our worth, path, and identity are determined by our race, gender, the things we’ve done, and the things that have been done to us. Over the next 30 days, we will discover what it looks like to be bold, transparent, and confront our shame.
