Jesus Over Resultsনমুনা
Have you ever met someone that was just an incredible human being? Maybe they helped you at a time in your life where you were down and out. They always seem to have a great attitude about everything. They are optimistic, full of joy, generous, and selfless. They seem to be so connected to Jesus that you want to be more like them. You look up to them and aspire to be like them.
But even these people don’t have perfect lives. Sometimes they mess up, or sometimes their life just gets messy. Which leads us all to ask at some point in our life, “Why do bad things happen to good people?” Have you ever asked that question? It seems like many times we believe the results of our life are unfair, unproportioned, and they don’t make sense. What do you do in times of uncertainty?
Job was a righteous man and was thrown into the midst of tragedy. All of his animals die. His 10 children are murdered or killed by natural catastrophes. Job becomes sick himself, and his wife even asks him to curse God and die. The results of his life did not match up with the way Job had lived his life.
What would you do if you were in Job’s shoes? What do you do when the results don’t match up? Do you turn toward Jesus or away from him? Do you shrink back, or do you stand up? Does your faith increase or decrease? Do you leave the results with all questions or some answers?
Jesus is over results.
