For the Word of God is Quick
“For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.” Hebrews 4:12 KJV
According to Strong’s Concordance, the Greek word for “Quick” is zaō’ (G2198) which means “to live, lively”. For the Word of God is quick. The Word of God is alive. The Word of God is lively.
In fact, the Amplified Version puts it this way: “For the Word that God speaks is alive and full of power [making it active, operative, energizing, and effective]; it is sharper than any two-edged sword, penetrating to the dividing line of the breath of life (soul) and [the immortal] spirit, and of joints and marrow [of the deepest parts of our nature], exposing and sifting and analyzing and judging the very thoughts and purposes of the heart.”Hebrews 4:12 AMPC
Just as the Word of God is alive, your faith is alive and active. Matthew 4:4 KJV declares, “But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.” Feed your faith. Feed your faith with His Word.
Let His Word feed every area of your life. Let His Word feed every area of your heart. Let His Word serve as the foundation of your life. Let His Word heal every aspect of your life. Let His Word refresh you. Let His Word restore you. Let His Word make you whole.
His Word is complete. His Word is alive and searches the deepest parts of your heart and soul. Let His Word restore your hope. Let His Word restore your joy. Feed your faith by cultivating the ground of your heart with the Word of God. Feed your hope by meditating on the Word of God.
Joshua 1:8 KJV declares, “This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.”
