What Can You Do?নমুনা
This week we’ve talked a lot about serving other people by putting their needs first, taking action when you see someone you can serve, and thinking of ways to serve even people who are hard to love sometimes. But there is one more group of people who we are also called to serve that might not be easy, and that is the people who we might think aren’t worth serving. Some people seem like they’re not important or we might think that we’re better than them. We are still called to serve them and put them before ourselves.
The night that Jesus died, He had dinner with his 12 closest followers and friends. Jesus taught and led all of them for 3 years on earth. While they were eating, Jesus did something that none of them expected - He washed their feet. This may seem super gross, and it probably was, but it was Jesus’ way of showing His disciples that even though He was their teacher, leader, and God himself, He still wanted to serve them and put their needs above His own before He died for them and made the ultimate sacrifice out of love for them. That is the kind of servanthood that we follow. We aren’t saying that you need to wash someone’s feet, but there are lots of ways you can serve other people. This may be something as simple as taking out the trash or cleaning up the yard. The biggest goal is to put others above yourself.
Challenge: Today we challenge you to serve someone who you think is less than you. If there is someone in your life who you think you’re better than, humble yourself today by praying for that person and finding a way to serve them.

About this Plan
You may look at the problems around you and wonder, "What can I do?" Jesus calls us to see a need and meet that need. We are to serve others. Over the next 10 days, we'll take a look at what it means to serve and what that looks like.
