Better, Faster, Stronger Faith

DAY 4 OF 7

How many roots would you have holding your life down? This is what Paul is talking about in Colossians, "Let every area of your life be tied down to God." If the only connection to God you have tied down is your Church time, then when everything else is pulling your attention, you'll be ripped out easily.

This is why Jesus is our LORD and SAVIOUR! Lord means He's in charge of every area in our lives:

We are doing school the way God wants us to

Honouring God in our Sports

Our Habits

Our relationships

If you've been living life where God is an on/off switch - no wonder exhaustion is coming your way.

INVOLVE GOD IN EVERYTHING

He gave you those gifts for a reason, surrounded you with those people, blessed you with those abilities.

You don't need big roots. The reason some plants are hard to dig up isn't because of their big solid roots, it is the tiny amount of smaller roots. It's not about big supernatural moments that tie your life down to God - it's the small every day decisions to ground yourself in God's Word that will make you stronger than ever before.

How can we live our lives where the devil can't be chipping away at our roots until we can be pulled out like a plant? We can make sure our roots are positioned to be watered and strengthened by a flood of small connections to God:

Are you intentionally reading the Bible to hear from God?

Listening to Worship music that speaks life over you?

Surrounding yourself with people who carry you further?

Smiths Wigglesworth says it like this, "I don’t pray for more than 20 minutes, but 20 minutes doesn't go by that I don't pray."

Build those small roots. Make it regular and no one and nothing can take you out for doing what you were created to do.
