The Ways of Prosperity

DAY 2 OF 7

God Wants You to Prosper Spiritually

God is spirit, and because we were made in His image, this is one of our primary ways of connecting with and getting to know Him. Our spiritual prosperity is essential to our life overall. Research indicates that spiritual practices, like prayer, tend to be associated with decreased stress, increased hope, and fewer problems with sleep. It tends to increase awareness of cultivating gratitude and other virtues while helping us connect with a greater sense of purpose and meaning.

Having a spiritual perspective is powerful because it changes what we see in the natural. For example, the servant in 2 Kings was using his natural perspective to conclude that he was in big trouble. Elisha then introduced a different reality by changing the servant’s perspective. He showed a perspective that was spiritual and established in God. This likely changed everything about how much the servant felt empowered and hopeful as well as his thoughts about his own safety and prosperity.

God wants us to see the dimensions of possibility by setting our mind on the things above. Sometimes, by just looking with natural eyes, we miss our victory or miss our higher goal. God has given us access to His thought bank, the mind of Christ, so we can share in His perspective. When we lift our eyes, spiritually speaking, the perception of our natural problems gets smaller and the expanse of God’s goodness and possibility gets bigger. A strong spirit impacts every part of who we are. When our spirit is alive and empowered, it can accomplish things that cannot otherwise be accomplished. It can help us do things that cannot otherwise be done. Life begins to bloom with love, joy, and peace, without any striving as we follow God’s principles that lead us to His active voice, bringing transformation to every area of life.

About this Plan

The Ways of Prosperity

In 3 John 1:2 we see that God wants us to live fully in the prosperity that only comes from knowing and imitating Him. This encompasses 7 areas of life, including our relationships, spirituality, health, and career. When we grow or struggle in one area, we impact the rest. As we focus on prospering in the ways God designed, we get to know more about Him and His heart!
