Refined Under Pressureনমুনা
Day 14: Release from Captivity
Pray
Lord God, quiet my soul and open my mind and heart to receive Your Word. Amen.
Read
Nehemiah 2:1-20
Reflect
Nehemiah is distraught over the condition of Israel and convinces the king of Babylon to allow him to rebuild the protective walls around Jerusalem. How do we know that Nehemiah had a well-thought-out plan? Before responding to the king, what does Nehemiah do and why is this important? What was the point of Nehemiah's night operations (v.11-16)? Who is the real authority and power behind the Jerusalem renovation? In what ways is God shaping my life?
Respond
Lord, you are the master architect. Create in me a new heart that will shape how I respond to my family, my unit, and my community. Amen.

About this Plan
Doing hard things gives you extraordinary capabilities. As your character is refined under pressure, it helps shape a clearer picture of your unique place in the world and influences how you serve, lead, and relate to those around you. This plan will take a look at the origins of God’s character through his first dealings with people and how he’s cared for us throughout history.
