DAY 75 OF 103

A Call to More

2 Corinthians 1-4

Did you know that God will waste nothing when it comes to His ultimate purpose for your life? Because He is God, He does not lack any resource in displaying His glory in your life as well as crafting your life toward the image of His Son. Let’s admit, however, that what God uses as His crafting tool will at times feel uncomfortable.

Yes, He uses His Word, worship with others, and prayer to mold our lives, but He also uses pain and hardship to accomplish those same purposes. When this occurs, remember that through the push and pull they each offer a greater understanding of who He is and “an eternal weight of glory beyond all comparison.” Our current suffering and weaknesses exalt His power and glory. He should be evident in who we are, not the power of ourselves.

We are being renewed day by day in our temporary life because His life and His power is being manifested through us. We have a name greater than our suffering and a name that sustains us. We are being renewed because His intentions are for our Heavenly dwelling and He is the Waymaker of grace.

Wherever you find yourself today, let His power be seen more than your own by not losing heart and honoring the renewal He brings to your heart. Praise Him, even in a struggle. Declare His provision as pillars in your life. Find yourself in a posture of prayer for the One who does not and cannot fail, even when you feel all else has failed around you. He lavishly offers you more. He offers Himself.

God, thank You for loving us and for giving us hope. Thank you for giving us yourself in fullness every day. Amen.

Family connection: Paul writes of his tremendous suffering, yet declares that it is so he would depend on God. The best way to turn our eyes toward God in suffering is to declare our trust and dependence on Him. As a family, recite Psalm 23. Remind your children that God is our Shepherd; we do not lack any good thing.
