30 Day Challenge: A Walk Through Proverbsনমুনা
Day Five
Read Proverbs 5
Today’s chapter looks at temptation and marriage. Even if you aren’t married, this chapter still has valuable teachings. Everything we do has consequences, whether they are good or bad. If we have wisdom and knowledge that comes from our Heavenly Father, we have the ability to make wise choices. In verse 11 we see that those who give into temptation regret the choices they make, and later on we see that the sins we walk into will trap us and in the end, ruin us. However, we have a good Father who gives us what we need to make the right choices.
Reflect
Look at the first three verses of the chapter. What makes sin (in this case, the woman), so tempting?
Now look back at verses 4-6. Why is it so important to listen to wisdom?
Engage
We all face temptations in different ways. We all mess up and give in to sin on occasion too. But God tells us that His grace is sufficient (2 Corinthians 12:9) and that through the blood Jesus shed on the cross, we have redemption and forgiveness (Ephesians 1:7). Have you accepted His grace?
An Extra Mile
While we work towards wisdom and making wise choices, there is still forgiveness when we fail to make the wise choice. Pray and ask God for forgiveness for any decisions you made that went against His wisdom and what is right.

About this Plan
Oftentimes life looks like an open road and we aren’t sure which way it will turn. Other times, we feel like we are in control of where we are heading—no need to stop for directions. As believers, we must make sure that our GPS is programmed to the Word. God is our ultimate guide through the journey; He is the Creator of the road itself.
