Covenant Keeping Godনমুনা
God, Whose Purposes For Us Are Bigger Than Us and Beyond Our Time
The Lord was taking Jacob to the very first place where Jacob had encountered with Him. This was important, for between the first encounter with God in Bethel and the second return and building of the altar at Bethel, much had happened. God had brought about a great transformation in Jacob and at the same time God was shaping and laying in place the foundations for the fulfilling of His greater purposes in and through Jacob. Jacob had to bring to mind God’s wonderful ways. This was the time for Jacob and his family to count their blessings and name them one by one.
It was also the time for Jacob to recognise that God’s plans were far bigger than his life and it was much beyond his life time. God was showing Jacob, “If you have experienced My faithfulness thus far, be ready to participate in my greater purposes, which I will unfold in their time”
This is the perspective that all of us need to have in life. We must take time to recount God’s faithfulness and goodness in our lives and then prepare ourselves to submit to God for His larger purposes, which are much bigger than our lives and much beyond our life time.
How is it with you? Have you stopped and taken time to reflect back and recount all of God’s faithfulness and goodness. Having done so, the second step is to submit to Him completely for the outworking of His larger purposes.
Lord, I submit to You. May Your purposes be fulfilled in me.

About this Plan
This devotional is about God changing Jacob to Israel. This is a process and the the way God works in our lives. It is good to understand the process and be alive to God's ways in our own lives, and allow Him to transform us to what He wants us to be.
